“In recognition of Jersey City’s Pride Month, the Jersey City Police Department’s South District will be holding a Pride Flag Raising on Wednesday, August 2nd at 3 pm. As Jersey City continues to be a very active role model for other cities to follow, our Pride Flag Raising is in recognition and celebration of the diversity our amazing city has to offer and in honoring our fellow LGBTQ+ police officers and the LGBTQ+ residents we serve. We, at the South District, would like to let our Police Officers and all members of the Greenville community know that the Jersey City Police Department stands with and supports them.  This will not only be a celebration kicking off Pride month here in Jersey City but also recognizing the accomplishments and progress made by our LGBTQ+  officers and residents.  This will also celebrate the establishment of a partnership between the JCPD South District and the Hudson Pride Center with the goal of further bolstering Jersey City as a community where every citizen is served.”    Captain Michael C.
