It’s going to be a crazy Barbie week starting with our event Doll Play Made Me Gay on October 14th featuring a Barbie themed doll and art exhibit by Miguel Cardenas, part of the LGBTQ+ JCAST Art Tour curated by Cat Hecht and culminating with our Best Barbie Inspired Costume Contest at Porta on October 21st. The costume contest is sponsored by JC Pride as part of the Ghost of Uncle Joe’s festivities.

We will be awarding a $150 grand prize to the person or group with the best Barbie inspired costume. The costume contest will take place at midnight and will be part of the Ghost of Uncle Joe’s after-party at Porta.

The after party is FREE for Ghost of Uncle Joe’s wristband holders from Friday or Saturday’s shows. For all others a donation of $5 to $10, benefiting the Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery, is requested.
